Homestead Vrbin – where time slows down

Our family-run homestead and restaurant are located in a small Karst village called Kačiče-Pared. Surrounded by unspoiled nature and fields, it is a perfect place for our guests to slow down and relax. Sit down with a cup of coffee under the vines on our terrace and enjoy the soft morning breeze or a glass of wine in the evening while listening to the crickets singing.

We loved everything about this place

Irena was the perfect host: she seemed to care about her guests. Although the restaurant wasn’t open on the day we were there, she prepared us a delicious plate of meats, cheese, salad, bread. all from the farm, which we ate in the courtyard, enjoying the peace (and good beer and wine) all evening.

The room was comfortable, clean and modern (funky bedside lights!), and the breakfast was really excellent. Thank you, Irena.

Near perfect!

Country environment (even hens seen through the window 🙂 I guess breakfast eggs are made by these hens 🙂 Modern guest house (card access room), comfortable bed, very good sleep, because this house is away from town and roads. Fresh weather.

Good coffee, tasty breakfast. I guess that from all properties we have stayed on our holidays (~10 properties), this one was best of all.

Definitely worth a visit

A perfect place to stop on route to Croatia.

Quiet location not far from the main road, clean rooms, comfortable beds, enough space in family room for an extra cot for baby, simple but good breakfast with local products, simple good meals available from café in evening, pleasant staff, good value for money, nice terrace covered with vines, good wi-fi.

We’d definitely stay there again.

Close to Italy and Slovenian Riviera

Location is very nice, quiet, peaceful, but really nearly to Italy and Slovenian Riviera.
The owner Irena was helpful with us, room was big, and beds are really comfortable.
Cleaning is 10/10, breakfast is very good with tasty homemade products.

Amazing host!

Homestead Vrbin is excellent. Though their restaurant was closed, the host offered to fire up her kitchen to whip us up some dinner when we arrived in the evening. We got served delicious soups, salad from the garden, and freshly grilled meats. Breakfast of home-cured meats was also a wonderful treat.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and surprisingly high technology.

Though this is probably best accessed by car, the location is lovely, peaceful and off the beaten track.

Silent night in a village


It is in a quite remote village yet it is close to the cave. We enjoyed a quite village night. The room is very clean and looked like newly refurbished.

With breakfast included it is of good value. The dinner in the restaurant was also very good at reasonable price.
